TorchWood is coming back. with USA locations?
Torchwood is coming back just not soon enough if you ask me. The continuation of the Show named “Torchwood: the new World” will not pick up exactly as the old season ended. I mean with that amount of doom and gloom it would be a tough run of it. The Start will be immediately as if you might have missed out on a bit of time and with Harkness fighting and running and being his old brilliant self.
The initial premise is that a Global Event brings TorchWood Back together. Russel T. Davies wont say what but did state in a write up on Blastr.com that it will take 10 episodes to work it all out. I would put my money on Aliens but its anyones guess really.
Here is where it gets fun for Us Yanks! TorchWood will move to the US of A from Wales. This means we get the cool aliens and destruction and global domination all in L.A and surrounding areas. They are Casting for two C.I.A. Agents to round out the cast and crew that were left over from the “Children of Earth” Episode. of last season.
Filming will begin this January. Lets hope it comes back with a bang!
Google Waves goodbye.
This past Week the CEO of Google talked to the press and declared Google Wave no longer. Google was asked about how the demise came about and had this to say:
Schmidt noted that Google liked the UI and a lot of the technology behind the product, but it simply to take off. “We try things,” he said. “Remember, we celebrate our failures. This is a company where it’s absolutely okay to try something that’s very hard, have it not be successful, and take the learning from that,” he continued.
If something does hit, he noted that Google gets strongly behind it. That simply wasn’t the case here.
I woudl have to say that I did not see the Viability in Google Wave. still its sad to see a possible New Tech idea wither and die. Did you use Wave? Do you still? what are your thoughts on The Wave Cresting and breaking on shore? Leave a comment in the show notes below.
MuteWatch Says Nothing but does a lot.
I like watches. I cant afford the super ultra cool ones but I like looking at them. I saw this on Engadget and had to tell you about it. Its Called Mutewatch and the name definitely covers what it does. the Face is blank there are no buttons I can see. it has no ringer only a vibrate mode. if you do want to check the time you have to swipe your finger across the face and the numbers show up for you. It will come in White Grey or Red for the low low price of $260. Read more about it and order at their website: http://www.mutewatch.com/
